Prunus Shirotae is also known by its common name, Mount Fuji Cherry. It is a very elegant and rich flowering cherry blooming before the leaves in mid spring with large, single or semi double, pure white flower with a sweet fragrance.

Mount Fuji cherry. A beautiful and artistic tree. Prunus Shirotae, also known as the "Mt. Fuji Cherry," is a cultivar of the cherry blossom tree, scientifically known as Prunus serrulata. It is a deciduous tree that produces delicate, single-white flowers that bloom in early spring before the leaves appear. The flowers are large, with a diameter of 5-6 cm and are arranged in clusters. The leaves are oval-shaped and glossy green in colour.

The tree is hardy and can tolerate a wide range of soil types and climates. It is commonly used as an ornamental tree in gardens and parks and is a popular choice for planting along streets and in public spaces. It's a popular cherry blossom variety.
