A small very striking colourful shrub. The leaves of the young shoots are purple mottled with silver, pink and bright rose later becoming purple.

Extremely hardy and easy to grow. Useful to plant as a contrast shrub. Grows approximately 1 x 1m. Has many spikes for those who like to intrude. Full sun to part shade in well drained soil. Frost hardy. Coastal and drought tolerant.
