Blueberry Nui

Blueberry Nui

Nui

Season:  Mid-season

Berry size:  Very Large

Bush height:  1.5–2.0m

Flavour:  Rich & sweet

If big, beautiful berries are what you're after, Nui is hard to beat. Also bred in New Zealand by Plant & Food Research, Nui produces some of the largest blueberries of any variety available — berries so impressive that they regularly stop people in their tracks at the fruit bowl.

Nui ripens in mid-season and delivers generous crops of richly flavoured, deep blue-black fruit. The flavour is full and sweet with excellent depth — far superior to anything you'll find at the supermarket. The berries hold their shape beautifully and have a satisfying firm bite, making them wonderful for fresh eating, baking, and preserving alike.

The bush itself is vigorous and upright, growing to around 1.5–2 metres, and it is well suited to New Zealand conditions. Nui is a cross-pollinator's best friend — plant it alongside Reka or Duke for dramatically improved yields from all your bushes.
