Boysenberry Mapua

Boysenberry Mapua

Boysenberry 'Mapua'

Taste: A classic, rich boysenberry flavor—deep, aromatic, and slightly tart. This is a New Zealand-bred variety specifically selected for its thornless habit and high yield.
Planting: Thrives in full sun. Incorporate plenty of organic matter (like compost) into the soil before planting to help retain moisture during fruit swell.
Pruning: Similar to blackberries, Mapua fruits on one-year-old wood. After harvest, remove the old dark canes and train the new vigorous shoots along your wires.
