Camellia Nuccio Jewel

Camellia japonica Nuccios Jewel is an evergreen shrub that produces beautiful, peony like flowers.

The flowers are blushed with pink and white and have showy, yellow stamens.

These are borne through winter and spring and are complemented with glossy, dark green foliage. Camellia Nuccios Jewel is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
