Takanini is an evergreen shrub that produces magnificent double rich red flowers. The impressive blooms from winter through to spring and have a lovely tight frilly centre. The glossary dark leaves provide s a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It is a relatively compact plant with a good growth habit.
Best results with this variety are achieved planted in full sun on a well drained soil that is slightly acidic and humid conditions. Slightly frost tender until it matures and gets established. Can be planted in a container, hedging (50cm apart) in cottage gardens outdoor living or used as a back drop out for smaller plants.
Height is 2.5m x Width 2m.
