Lime Kaffir
Lime Kaffir
A popular culinary citrus whose tender young, aromatic leaves are used extensively in cooking. Fruit is small, round, bumpy and roughly textured. Considered inedible as it doesn’t contain much flesh and flesh, but this and the rind can still be used. Forms an evergreen shrub with interesting, dark green, double leaves. Performs well in pots. Grows approximately 3m tall x 2m wide.
Full sun with well drained, fertile soil. Will tolerate temps to around -2°C. Water regularly during hot, dry spells. Regular fertilising through spring and summer.
