A stunning Hydrangea with large conical flower heads that put on a magnificent display in summer-autumn. The flowers open to a fresh shade of green, then gradually turn cream and finally become a deep smoky shade of pink. Best in compost-rich soil, sun or part shade. Deciduous. Hardy.

This extremely durable, long-lived plant is easy to grow. It likes full sun in cold climates, afternoon shade in warmer ones, but it does require well-drained soils that do not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third its total height every spring.
