One of the best compact shrubs for year-round interest. Features a variety of leaf colours. Dense leaves are lime-green maturing to a bronzy-rose. In winter they are a fiery red and orange. Nandina domestica Gulfstream, is an evergreen shrub that offers year-round visual delight. This compact, bushy plant is a favourite for its multi-seasonal appeal.

The plant is highly adaptable, thriving in various climatic conditions and is particularly well-suited for sunny locations where it reaches its full-colour potential. Not just a feast for the eyes, the Gulfstream also produces tiny white star-shaped flowers in the warm summer months, which are rich in nectar.

This low-maintenance shrub is perfect for mass planting, container gardening, or as an informal hedge. For optimal growth, it is recommended to plant it in fertile, free-draining soil and to include a generous helping of organic matter at the time of planting.
