Phormium Tenanx Purple

Phormium Tenax Purple is a stunning evergreen perennial plant native to New Zealand, it is prized for its striking purple leaves and upright growth habit. The leaves are a deep purple colour and grow up to 6 feet long and 2 feet wide. The leaves are sword shaped and have a stiff rigid texture, this plant produces spikes of small, yellow or red flowers that bloom in the summer.

This is a versatile plant that can be used in a variety of landscapes. It is often used as a specimen plant in gardens or planted en mass to create a bold dramatic statement. It is easy to grow, and low maintenance. Prefers full sun well drained soil. Great for attracting the bird.

Handles coastal, dry, wet and windy conditions.
