Tractor seat ligularia has enormous shiny deep green heart shaped leaves. They are stunning in shaded sites. Also known as tractor seat ligularia, Ligularia reniformis has leaves up to 40 cm across and on stems around 80 cm tall. It easily covers 1 x 1 m as a mature plant. They do best in shaded sites with damp soil, but also perform well in dry shade.

It is excellent besides ponds and streams or tucked away in a shady corner. Leaves are darker and glossier in shady sites. They hold their leaves year round; Evergreen. They are an excellent landscape plant for shade.
